Partnerships at Auto Shanghai 2025 - Andrew Hart, CEO SBD Automotive

"Partnering in the Chinese auto industry is a bit like joining the gym in January: you feel the pressure to do it and see so many others doing it, but it’s not clear how many will last more than a month! That was my main takeaway from talking to industry execs last week in Shanghai," says Andrew Hart - SBD Automotive's CEO. Strategic partnerships are seen as a critical tool for achieving China-speed, but getting them right while moving fast is tough. At my latest count I tallied up 16 partnership announcements at the Shanghai Auto Show - although some of them seem re-hashed from before. Check out the full list of partnerships below and be sure to check out our full Premium Event Report out now!
