Since 2014, when it was founded by Andrew Hart and Jeffrey Hannah, our US Office has operated as a hub for the North American automotive industry.

Based in Ann Arbor and just a few miles from the automotive capital of Detroit, SBD Automotive offers research, strategy, technical and testing support to the US market and beyond.

Joe has spent more than 20 years helping executives and operators work through their toughest calls, from family-run businesses to the Fortune 50.

His work spans product and portfolio strategy to operational execution, serving automakers, mobility players, and the connected-technology ecosystem that now extends well beyond the road. Joe has deep experience curating proprietary intelligence, translating it into actionable strategy, and executing to drive measurable outcomes.

His original research has been published in industry magazines and briefed directly to C-suite leaders at the world's largest enterprises. At Oliver Wyman, he led one of the automotive industry's benchmark analytics platforms, developing original algorithms whose insights informed some of the industry's hardest decisions. He has also advised private equity and corporate acquirers across the mobility and industrial landscape.
