Your key responsibilities are to:
Complete a variety of research and consultancy projects across connected car technologies to deadlines and high-quality standards
Provide strategic support to clients including cost/benefit analysis for new products
Desk and field-based research
Analyse data and provide industry insight to include authoring technical and market data reports
Direct other staff on client projects
Present to clients and deliver technical workshops
Attend and present at industry conferences and events
Specialise in at least one area of Connected car technology (for example Automotive Apps, Big Data Analytics, CRM, Prognostics, Infotainment, Navigation, PAYD, Smart Phone Integration, Mobility Solutions etc.)
Keep up to date with latest industry technology developments and interpret high-level trends
Your principal place of work will be at our head office in Milton Keynes. You will be required to regularly travel to mainland Europe and occasionally further afield to visit clients or our sister companies in Germany, Japan, China, India and North America.
You will need to demonstrate the following:
Direct experience in a broad range of connected car technologies and business models: automotive apps, big data analytics, CRM, prognostics, infotainment, navigation, PAYD insurance, smart phone integration, mobility solutions etc.
An adaptable and well organised approach, with ability to manage a busy workload with several short term and long term projects running simultaneously, directing other members of the team as required
Excellent written communication skills to enable the production of high quality client reports in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Confident verbal communication with the ability to build rapport and inspire confidence with SBD’s clients
Preferably bi-lingual (fluency in English and another European language)
Industry interest and a desire to meet client needs
An understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the connected car industry, and evidence of your ability to keep abreast of technical and business developments in this fast-moving sector
The above qualities and experience will have been gained within the automotive industry, either within a vehicle manufacturer, supplier or a competitor. You will ideally have a degree or equivalent in Engineering, Research, Management or Business.
