You’ll learn skills and have experiences that will give you a fantastic start to your career working on projects for major vehicle manufacturers and automotive suppliers across the globe. Providing worldwide career opportunities, our UK headquarters is based in Milton Keynes and we have offices in North America, India, Japan, China, and Germany.
You will be working on research and consultancy projects for the China market You’ll start by learning the skills to plan and execute a research project through to the creation of a published report. You’ll undertake desk-based research and attend motor shows to research the latest technologies. As you develop you will be exposed to increasingly challenging and complex work including supporting customer specific projects ranging from vehicle or technology benchmarking to performance testing of prototype or production systems.
You will gain valuable foundation experience within our Connected Car Division in telematics, infotainment, in-car smartphone integration, artificial intelligence, big data, and new mobility solutions. Your future development will focus towards specialising in one or more areas of Connected Car technology, offering prospects to develop your career further, either with a focus on managing research and report writing, or a more consultancy-focused role taking responsibility for managing the delivery of customer-specific projects.

A degree in a science, engineering or automotive industry related discipline, and a keen interest in the automotive industry and our business is essential. If your degree has covered modules in Electrical or Electronics Communications, this is desirable.
Fluent in Chinese Mandarin and English is essential
An individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills who thinks logically and has the capability to collect, analyse and present data
Ability to research information from varied sources, identify trends and determine the implications for the automotive industry
A confident communicator who can express themselves well in both verbal and written communications
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
A thirst for knowledge and the motivation to keep up to date with industry changes are essential, as are an enquiring mind and an eye for detail
You’ll need to have excellent planning and time management skills
If you have already gained experience as an undergraduate either within a vehicle manufacturer, systems supplier, telecoms or electronics industries either through a placement or work experience this would be desirable, although not essential.
